Studio Indigo reinstated the original historical floorplan and proportions of the Central and West Halls as the main restaurant. The East Hall now accommodates the chef’s kitchen and a new mezzanine bar level. The stunning original oak roof beams which were discovered hidden behind unsympathetic alterations have been fully exposed and cleaned and are the dominant feature of the restaurant and bar.
These three large baronial halls are flooded with natural light through the restored windows and the space is impressive yet warm and comfortable. Its interiors have a distinct balance between old and new, set against a natural and material palette, splashes of red and teal generate a sense of excitement and interest within the contemporary furniture and concrete flooring.
