Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, London located on historic Hanover Square, offers a stylish base in one of London’s most sought-after areas, where culture and fashion collide. This sleek and boutique sister property to Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park features 50 rooms and suites, 77 private residences, award-winning Chef Akira Back’s London restaurant debut, two bars, and a luxurious spa. Designed by the internationally renowned RHSP, Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, London brings a modern architectural approach to one of London’s most storied squares.
The hotel’s fabled location informs its identity, with interiors designed by Studio Indigo. We have seamlessly blended Mandarin Oriental’s Asian heritage with locally inspired elements to create a distinct identity. Each of the 50 guest rooms and suites is inspired by haute couture, imagined as a jewellery box with rich palettes. Fine timbers, marbles, soft fabrics, bespoke lighting, and metallic finishes in brass, bronze, and gold complete the luxurious feel.
The Mayfair Suite, the largest at 1,517 sq.ft, has a distinct personality is highlighted by a lavish auburn Rosso Oribico marble core palette, providing a contemporary contrast to the hand-painted ‘Magnolia’ silk wallpaper by De Gournay, customised in bespoke auburn colourway. The chinoiserie design beautifully represents the Magnolia tree in Hanover Square. Additionally, this is the only suite that features hand-embroidered flowers, a design that is also reflected in the rugs by Alarwool and decorative cushions that adorn the curved furnishings all hand-crafted by Hospitality Projects. The interiors pays homage to British craftsmanship, reflecting the hotel’s vibrant location within London’s art and fashion district.
