Victorian home under refurbishment in Holland Park

  • Victorian home under refurbishment in Holland Park

The building is Grade II Listed and situated in a leafy corner of Holland Park. Studio Indigo has been appointed both Architects and Interior Designers for this exciting project which is now starting to take shape with the fit-out phase well underway.

The 12,000sq. ft home will include 9 bedrooms, 13 bathrooms and an extension on the lower ground floor housing a fantastic new pool and wellness area. The project has been a labour of love for both the team and the client who has been fully involved choosing every element, helping our quest to deliver their dream family home.

Studio Indigo’s expertise in historical buildings has proved invaluable to this project due to its Listed status, ensuring that all of its Victorian features are respectfully retained. Even though the architecture will be traditionally British, the interiors will be a sharp contemporary contrast. Sleek details and refined finishes will be used throughout with an emphasis on luxurious materials on a backdrop of tonal greys.

Currently, timber floors are being installed with boards the length of 11m – a truly extraordinary feature with a bespoke finish exclusively created from Germany. The project has pushed boundaries with design elements that epitomise the definition of luxury through superb craftsmanship from around the world.

Standout features include a 4m bespoke light installation that will cover the double height entrance creating a stunning focal point of attraction as you enter. Currently, an array of striking monochromatic Italian stones and marbles are being installed throughout all the bathrooms and powder rooms. The new cinema will be a unique space clad in bespoke felt panels with ‘petal’ motifs, which will complement the refined joinery details with subtle metallic trims.

The team at Studio Indigo is collaborating with Sizegroup to complete the project in early 2021.
