Studio Indigo raises £2,000 for local charity
It’s been 44 days since Studio Indigo launched its Fitness Challenge to help the team keep moving and motivated during this third lockdown.
Starting first with a virtual London 2 Paris walk in January, the team smashed their target within a week and a half with everyone making the effort to walk or run whilst working from their remote offices. It was such a great source of fun and team bonding that the challenge was stepped up a gear with a more ambitious goal.
Pledging to walk (or run!) the length of the Orient Express, the team virtually started in Paris and visited Strasbourg, Munich, Vienna, Budapest, Bucharest and finally stopping in Istanbul. However, this time our efforts would also count towards helping a fantastic cause.
At the end of the challenge, (ending on the 28th February) the team collectively walked a massive 2897.18km surpassing our target of 2750km and raising £1,174 for Solidarity Sports – a small charity, based locally in Kensington & Chelsea, supporting children recovering from trauma and who are growing up in poverty.
Solidarity Sports believes that every child deservers happiness. They help vulnerable children suffering from severe trauma and facing huge economic and social barriers by providing a caring and nurturing environment for children based in North West London.
Studio Indigo were delighted to match the team’s fundraising efforts, making a final total of £2,229
Congratulations to the team for their huge effort and, in particular, to our winner Kash and second runner up, Sam, for their incredible contribution by walking almost 10k every day.
And last and most importantly, Studio Indigo would like to thank everyone who has donated to this wonderful charity – It couldn’t have been possible without you.
