Notting Hill House granted planning permission!
Studio Indigo have achieved full planning permission for a stunning 5-storey home within the Ladbroke Conservation area, situated in Notting Hill.
Our aim is always to maintain the integrity and character of the conservation areas within our planning submissions, and this home was no exception. The proposed scheme includes a new lower ground extension which will create a contemporary open planned space perfect for the owner’s lifestyle. The style, materials and visual appearance of the proposed rear extension would be a respectful addition subservient to the original building replacing a half-sunken concrete extension which currently sits at odds with the character and distinctiveness of the original building.
The proposal also includes a new basement which has been sensitively designed and carefully considered to ensure the highest of quality in design without affecting the surrounding area.
Internally, the layout will be reconfigured to improve the general circulation and flow of the home.
Studio Indigo has maintained a clear and extensive dialogue with the neighbours and community throughout the application process. We would like to thank our planning consultant Tracey Rust and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea for the support and guidance.
