Historical Planning Application Approved!
Studio Indigo are delighted to have achieved a recent Planning and Listed Building Consent, which could set a new precedent with RBKC Policy.
The approval sees the amalgamation of three flats within a Victorian Listed Building, returning to use as a single-family dwelling. Currently, the amalgamation of units within the Royal Borough is not permitted due to housing targets.
However, working alongside the Savills’ planning team, we were able to demonstrate the significant benefits that this change will bring to the heritage of both the building and the neighbourhood. RBKC, who are normally very strict against such reversed developments, were won over by the thorough historical analysis carried out by Studio Indigo and Savills.
In what’s described as “the undoubted jewel in the conservations area’s crown”, the project will include the complete restoration of both the external and internal framework; along with the reinstatement of comprehensive floor layouts and historical features. The change will see this listed building returned to its original splendour increasing not only the value of the house but of the Boltons as a whole.
The achievement of both the planning permissions and Listed Building consent is a great victory for the team and we would like to thank all at Savills and the RBKC Planning team for their help, guidance and support.
