The SuperYacht Gallery Event: Studio Indigo at the Saatchi Gallery
The Saatchi Gallery was host last week to the inaugural three-day SuperYacht Event, which aimed to give a rare insight into the luxurious world of the Superyacht industry.
Studio Indigo had the opportunity to exhibit amongst many of the Supeyacht Industry’s household names. The exposition was the first of its kind, taking away the traditional business element of typical ‘sales booths’, and creating a gallery experience that focused more on the superyacht lifestyle and yacht owner.
Visitors could explore the world of yachting through a number of mediums including art, film, photography and Virtual Reality; with exquisite superyacht models from different parts of the world sprinkled through-out.
The gallery comprised of seven themes of which each exposition would focus on: Business, Imagination, Exploration, Craftsmanship, Innovation, Performance and Lifestyle.
As exhibitors, we had the exciting chance of creating our own ‘mini gallery’ within the Lifestyle gallery. We wanted to show a different perspective, giving viewers a chance to see the interiors of our first superyacht, the award-winning M.Y JOY.
Nine images took centre-stage within our exposition, showing the craftsmanship and a level of detail not seen anywhere else; with plinths displaying a mixture of finishes and accessories by Simon Orrell and Halstock Cabinet Makers. Furthermore, our new explorer concept, Southern Right, made an appearance in the exploration gallery.
The event, created by Merjin De Waard and Marjin Smit of the SuperYacht Times, was a great success and we were proud to be a part of it.
We wish the SuperYacht Gallery team great success and hope next year is even better!
