The clients brief was to design a light, bright open, unpretentious and comfortable home. Although the client loved London, he wanted some Australian sunshine to flood his house and fill it with light. This was achievable due to the south facing aspect of the house and by using a light palette of colours and materials.

The new bones of the house provided the perfect structure to decorate. The interior style reflected the classic tastes of the client, mixing old and new, incorporating memories from the past and creating a new look for the future. The mix of antiques, mid – twentieth century and contemporary furniture and art creates and intriguing dialogue within the rooms.

The basement areas were contemporary in feel, the family spaces casual and the entertaining floor large and impressive.

Each individual space was designed with character and to be distinctive, to have its own identity reinforced through a carefully considered pallet of materials and colour.

Furniture and art was sourced from across the world or designed in house by Studio Indigo to give that very distinctive and personal look to the interiors.

The objective to create understated luxury and comfort.
